DESCRIPTIONS:

Bauhinia Purpurea has a fragrant, beautiful and large purple-pink orchid-like flowers and unique, butterfly-like  dark green foliage.  Bauhinia Purpurea is an ideal feature tree to brighten up any medium to large garden.  A fast growing and stunning tree that is ideal for street planting, as a shade tree in parks  and gardens and can also be grown in larger pots on the patio.  Flowering profusely from late spring to mid summer.  The flowers can be cut and used for indoor display.  Bauhinia Purpurea is a small-medium tree that can be evergreen or semi-deciduous,  however in some colder areas can be completely deciduous.   

This tree are easy to grow when positioned in full sun with well drained soil, fertile soil and sheltered from frost and wind.  Bauhinia Purpurea can be prune after flowering to maintain size and shape.  Apply with all purpose slow release fertiliser during spring or summer if required.
