COMMON NAME: Willow Peppermint / Narrow Leaf Black Peppermint
Eucalyptus nicholii is a narrow-leaved Black Peppermint. A medium sized Eucalyptus growing to 16 metres tall. It is a popular tree due to its attractive foliage and neat pyramidal habit. Mature leaves are narrow lanceolate shape and dull grey-green colour. When you crushed the leaves have a strong peppermint fragrant accounting for its common Name. Most found in south Eastern Australia, often planted as an ornamental tree in private gardens and use as a windbreaker. White flowers appears during late summer to early Autumn. Like most other Eucalyptus trees are drought and frost tolerant once established after planting. Eucalyptus Nicholii will grow to a height of 16 metres high and a width of 12 metres wide.
