DESCRIPTIONS:  Hakea laurina is a tall shrub  or small tree with long, leathery green to bluish-green leaves.  The much admired ball like red flowers, strikingly contrasted with creamy-white  styles are produced from Autumn to winter.  This species is bird attracting and shows variability in growth habit and height.
