The Olea Europaea "Californian Queen" is a large fruiting variety developed in California.  It's a medium sized tree with dark green leaves that have silver undersides.  This hardy tree thrives in Mediterranean conditions and is suitable for various uses, including hedging, screening and as a feature tree. The fruits is large, plump and can be eaten green or black after processing. 

Leaves:  The tree has leathery, dark-green leaves with silvery undersides. 

Fruit:  The olive fruits are large, green, and almost round in shape, ripening to purple or black. 

size:  It can grow to a height of 2-10m high.

Climate:  Thrives in Mediterranean climate and warm regions with cool winter. 

Sunlight:  Prefers full sun 

Soil:  Well-draining soil is preferred  and it tolerates poorer soil types, but does not like waterlogging. 

Uses for Table olive:  Primarily cultivated for eating, particularly as a large table olive, and can be pickled green or black. 

Olive oil:  Also used for producing high quality olive oil. 

Landscaping:  Suitable for hedging, screening, as a feature tree or grown as an espalier or standard.

Others:  Can be grown in pots, making it suitable for courtyard and other spaces with limited areas.
