Alocasia XANTHOSOMA Mickey Mouse 14cm

DESCRIPTIONS:

Xanthosoma "Mickey Mouse", also known as Alocasia Mickey Mouse, is a tropical plant with distinctive heart-shaped leaves that resemble Mickey Mouse Ears.  These leaves are green, often with creamy white or yellow variegation.  It's popular choice for indoor and outdoor gardening due to its unique appearance and relatively low maintenance. 

SPECIFICATIONS:

Mature Size:

*  Mickey Mouse can grow between 1 - 2 meters tall and wide, depending on the variety and growing conditions. 

Foliage:

*  Large, heart-shaped leaves with varying degrees of green and creamy white or yellow variegation. 

Sunlight:

*  Prefers bright, indirect sunlight, but can tolerate lower light conditions.  Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. 

Watering:

*  Water only when the top soil is slightly dry.  Allow the soil to dry out between watering, and avoid over watering. 

Humidity:

*  Prefers humid environments.

Temperature:

*  Warm, humid environment are best for Alocasia Xanthosoma 'Mickey Mouse'.

Toxicity:

*  All parts of the plants are toxic if ingested.

HOW TO CARE:

Potting mix:  Use a good quality potting mix for indoor plants with well-draining system. 

Fertiliser:  Fertilise regularly with balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season (spring or summer).

Pests and Diseases: Monitor for signs of pests and diseases and treat accordingly. 

Repotting:  Repot as needed, typically when the plant becomes root-bound.
