Myrsine African Box Hedge 14cm pot
This small shrub is recognising for its glossy, aromatic, dark green foliage. During spring tiny cream toned flowers appear in the base of the leaves. The name myrsine is from the Greek name for the similar looking myrtle. This plant is slow growing, but long lived and definitely worth the patience to grant it a spot in your garden or landscape. Myrsine Africana is ideal for hedging. Screening or potted in patio containers and pots. Plant them in an area of full sun to partly shaded, with moist well drained soil. It will tolerate a range of soil and conditions and it drought tolerant once established. A regular light pruning of the tips will encourage a bushy growth. Myrsine Africana can grow to a height of 1.5 metres high and a width of 75 cm wide.
