DESCRIPTIONS:
Agave lophantha quadricolor is a striking, medium size succulent known for its colorful, variegated leaves. It forms a compact rosettes, with green leaves edges in yellow and a central dark green striped, often with reddish or pink tips when exposed to bright sunlight. The plant is native to Mexico and Texas and is a popular choice for xeriscaping, rock gardens and containers planting due to its unique appearance and relatively low maintenance.
Mature Size: Typically reaches 1-2 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide, forming a slow clumping rosettes.
Leaves :Green with yellow margins and a central dark green striped. The leaf edges have sharp spines that can be reddish or pinkish when exposed to bright light.
Coloration: The unique Coloration, with four distinct colours (green, yellow, dark green, and reddish or pink), gives the plants its name "Quadricolor".
Flowers: Produces a tall spikes with greenish-yellow flowers when they matured, after the main rosettes dies, but offsets (pups) will continue to grow.
Hardiness: Can tolerate temperatures down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit for short periods, making it relatively cold-hardy for an Agave.
Light and water: Prefers full sun to light shade and well-drained soil. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry.
