DESCRIPTIONS:
Alocasia Regal - the plant is grown primarily for its stunning foliage. FOLIAGE: Alocasia 'Regal Shield' features impressive foliage that is both bold and architectural. Its leaves are large, glossy, and deep green to almost black, creating a stunning visual contrast with the vibrant, light green to white veins that run through them. Alocasia are prone to root rot if their soil is kept too moist, so make sure not to water too often. Allow the top two inches of soil to dry out before watering. Alocasia are fairly adaptable so will thrive in a range of light conditions from low to bright indirect sunlight but ideally, they like to be in bright light.
Fertilise your alocasia every two to four weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half a strength. During the winter months, you don't need to worry about fertilising them. Alocasia should be prune regularly to encourage new growth and kept them looking neat and tidy. Prune off any dead or damaged leaves and stem. Alocasia plant are unique and beautiful addition to any indoor or outdoor space with careful watering, light, temperature, humidity, fertilising and pruning, your alocasia can thrive and last for many years.
