DESCRIPTIONS:

Aloe Barberae "Tree Aloe" is one of the most striking succulents plants that you can add to your landscape.  They are the largest of all aloe and can grow up to 20 meters in height in it's natural setting while developing magnificent stem bases that can reach as much as 3 meters in diameter. The rich green leaves and sculptural shaped cast an amazing silhouette and look magnificent when in the spotlight at night.  The branching crown is neat and tidy and is made up of rosettes of long, arching, evergreen leaves. When Aloe Barberae flower the focus shifts to the amazing display of flower spikes held aloft in shades from Apricot to red. The architectural style of this plant makes an impressive feature tree in any dry garden or tropical landscape design.  Tree aloe are easy to grow and will be happy in any well drained soil,  as long as it is in sunny position.  Requiring very little maintenance and it is generally pest and disease free,  but they may require frost protection in cooler areas.  Aloe Barberae requires minimal water and grow well on the coast and is suited to extremely windy locations.   Tree aloe can grow up to 25cm in one year if conditions are right.
