DESCRIPTIONS:
Anigozanthos Big Red would be a stand-out highlight in any garden, whether native, cottage, rockeries or mass planting in larger landscapes. Also suitable for containers and be sure to use larger pots. Big Red is a Strappy leaves clumping plants with foliage size of 250mm long and the flowers are supported on spikes up to 2m tall. The cluster of vivid tomato-red flowers are up to 40mm long and put on a fabulous show. This beautiful native will attract nectar-feeding birds to the garden. Flowering occurs over a long period from late spring to mid-summer. Perfect as cut flowers arrangement. To encourage the best flowering, Big Red should be planted in a sunny position in well drained soil and be well watered during summer months. Annual fertilising after flowering using a native fertiliser will be beneficial. Remove spent flowers spikes and dead leaves regularly and this plant will be reward your efforts.
