DESCRIPTIONS:
Azalea "Christine Motton", A new and distinctive cultivar of Azalea plant named 'Christine Matton', characterised by its vigorous and dense plant that are very freely branching, uniform, upright and outwardly spreading plant habit. It has a very dark green shiny foliage, freely flowering, showy double salmon-pink flowers and long lasting flowering periods.
Flowering Season: Early spring through to summer.

Soil type: Azalea's thrives in well-drained, acidic soil with a pH between 4.5 and 6.0. They prefer soil that is rich in organic matters but also allows good drainage, as they have shallow, fibrous roots and are sensitive to waterlogging.
Soil Texture: A light, loamy soil that is not too heavy is best. Heavy clay soil can be amended with peat moss and Coarse sand to improve drainage.
Sunlight: Azalea's prefers partial shade to morning sun with afternoon shade, especially in hot climates.
Protection: Protect from cold winds, frost and snow, especially in colder areas.
Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry periods, but avoid over watering.
Mulching: Mulching is beneficial, particularly during hot summer months to keep the shallow roots cool and conserve moisture.
Pruning: Prune after flowering to encourage new growth and maintain the plant in good shape.
Fertilizing: Use a fertiliser formulated for Azalea's in spring and autumn.
