DESCRIPTIONS:
Beaucarnea Recurvata the intriguing looking plant, featuring a swollen stem base, a thickened central palm-like trunk, topped with long and thin grass-like leaves for up to 1 metre long. Their flowers, once the plant has reached more than 1 metre are numerous, small and white flowers are borne on large Panicles arising from the centre of the leaf rosettes. Ponytail will have a single trunk until they reach approx 1 metre and may then sprout new shoots. This will also happen if the top is remove or cut off. This plant can be use as an indoor plant in a pot but needed plenty of light, flourishing well in a heated atmosphere. Ponytail palm always prefer a well drained and fertile soil in sunny position. Removing old leaves are recommended to maintain tidy and neat looking plant. Very old Ponytail can reach a massive of the swollen base for up to 3.5 metres wide with multiple trunks of up to 4.5 metres plus tall.
