Callistemon Better John 5L pot

DESCRIPTIONS:  Callistemon Better John is a small native shrub bred from the popular Little John. Fresh new growth is almost silver while the mature foliage new growth is blue-green,  contrasting with the red cylindrical flowers when they appear in mid to late Spring.  Better John is a fast growing variety than Little John and is quicker to established.  This variety will reach to its potential size when well maintained,  however, when planted in tough  roadside conditions, growth will be hindered.   Better John is ideal for mass planting,  general landscaping and home backyard garden use.  Plant in full sun to light shade position.  It is adaptable to a range of soil types from sandy to well drained soil.  Better John is drought tolerant and has a low to moderate frost tolerant. 

Water well until established and prune as required to maintain compact shape.  Low water requirements once established. Callistemon Viminalis Better John will grow to a height of 60cm - 1.2m high and a width of 60 - 90cm wide.
