DESCRIPTIONS:

Silver Falls is a beautiful, cascading silver foliage plant which has excellent drought and heat tolerant.  Perfect for baskets, mixed containers and vertical gardens.  Dichondra is a perfect ground cover growing to 2 - 5cm high with a spread of 1m wide,  it will then send new roots into the ground and start the spread again.  Height and width 2 - 5m spanning.  Silver Falls will produce flowering during early spring to early autumn.

*  Sandy Loam- soil is the best for Dichondra Silver Falls 

*  Well drained  - The soil should dry out between watering to prevent root rot. 

*  Rich - The soil should be rich in humus.

*  Neutral to slightly acidic  - The pH should be around 6.5 to 7.5

Watering:

Dichondra Silver Falls plant need moderate to regular watering, but they are drought tolerant and can go for long periods without water once established.  You should water the plant when the soil is dry.

*  Water the plant when the top soil is dry. 

*  Water well during the first 12 weeks after planting or until the plant is fully established. 

*  Water regularly during dry periods. 

*  Water lightly to keep the soil evenly moist. 

*  Water about once every  9 to 10 days when rainfall is insufficient. 

Fertilising:

Dichondra Silver Falls  can be fertilise with a low nitrogen plant food or a succulent plant food. You can also use a liquid fertiliser or a compound mineral fertiliser. 

*  Spring  -  Fertilize in spring to encourage growth and fuller foliage. 

*  Growing season  -  Fertilize every two weeks during the growing season, which is usually from October to March. 

*  Warmer months  -  Fertilize two to three times during the warmer months. 

*  Low nitrogen plant food  -  Use low nitrogen plant food to give the plant a boost of nutrients. 

*  Succulent plant food -  You can use succulent food for container plant. 

*  Liquid fertiliser  -  Use liquid fertiliser to keep the plant tidy and neat.

*  Compound mineral fertiliser  -  You can use compound mineral fertiliser that is high in potassium and nitrogen. 

*  Slow release general fertiliser  -  And also you can use slow release general fertiliser in spring.
