Dieffenbachia AMY 14cm

Dieffenbachia 'Amy', also known as Dumb Cane, it is a popular indoor plant characterised by its large, ovate leaves splashed with creamy-white and dark green.  It offers a tropical aesthetic and is relatively easy to care for, making it a favourite for both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts.  However, it's important to note that all parts of the plants are toxic and should be kept away from children and pets. 

Foliage:  Dieffenbachia Amy has a striking, large leaves with a mix of dark green and creamy-white variegation.  The pattern can vary,  with some leaves having more green and others more white.

Size and shape:  It typically grows upright with an arching habit, reaching a variable height and width. 

Light:  Prefers bright, indirect light indoors and can tolerate shady position outdoors if protected from direct sunlight. 

Watering:  Required well drained soil and prefers to dry out slightly between watering. 

Toxicity:  Like other Dieffenbachia's 'Amy' is considered toxic to humans and pets if ingested,  causing irritation and potentially temporary speech loss (hence the common name 'Dumb Cane').

How to care:  It's generally considered a forgiving plant, but it's best to avoid over watering and extreme temperatures. 

Propagation:  Can be propagated from stem cuttings or by laying Cane pieces horizontally in damp soil.
