Also known as the Purple Hop Bush, Dodonnaea Viscosa Purpurea is an evergreen shrub with attractive copper-purple, leathery leaves. During summer it bears ornamental clusters of small red-purple seeds, which are bird attracting. Dodonnaea Viscosa Purpurea is an ideal hedging or screening plant. It it also useful for soil stabilising in areas of needof erosion control. Plant them in an area of full sun to part shade with moist well drained soil. Once established Dodonnaea Viscosa Purpurea is hardy and tolerate drought, pollution and coastal, salty winds. It is Waterwise once established and low maintenance. Prune lightly in spring for bushy growth; do not Prune into old wood. Dodonnaea Viscosa Purpurea can grow to a height of 3 metres high and a width of 2 metres wide.
