DESCRIPTIONS:

Is an evergreen perennial with erect stems and pointed glossy leaves.   White flowers with a pink to violet striped lip are borne on a loose spike during summer followed by the pale green to beige capsule seed pods.  The green seed pods of the plant are dried and the seeds inside the pods are used in Indian or Asian cuisine, either whole or ground.  Great for tropical garden and indoor decorations.  Suitable for pots, containers and  shaded garden beds. Mulch to retain moisture and supress weeds.
