Fargesia Fortune are commonly known as Fountain Bamboo. Fortune has a vertical pattern of growth with the new culms emerging purple with a white powdery coating. This is an excellent screening plant and makes the ideal hedge. Fargesia is a non-invasive variety of bamboo and highly suited to the home garden. Able to withstand cold winters and windy conditions it will also grow well in full sun or part shade. Fargesia bamboo thrives in rich organic soils and is relatively drought tolerant once established. For optimal growth water twice a week and mulch through the summer. Fargesia Fortune can grow to a height of 4m and a width of 2m.
