Ficus Benjamina Midnight Beauty  is a tall spreading shade tree with a tight conical growth habit,  creating a dense and bushy appearance.   This tree produces small,  shiny dark green leaves.  Midnight Beauty is ideal as a container plant on patio's and desks, a great shade tree for the garden and excellent to be planted along pathways and streets.  This tree will also be planted as an indoor display in well lit position.   It thrives in a wide range of soil and conditions,  but preferred a sunny and open position in moist well drained soil.   This evergreen tree is also frost hardy and resistant to leaf dropping.  Midnight Beauty is Waterwise once established, water regularly during warmer months,  as well as mulch to retain moisture.  Prune to a shape as required and this will encourage dense growth.   Ficus Midnight Beauty can grow to a height of 9m high and 5m wide if planted in the ground.  To control the size plant them in a pot or container and prune into a desired shape.
