Grevillea Olivacea Red is a Western Australian Native. Commonly known as the olive leaf Grevillea due to the shape and colour of the foliage. This showy Grevillea is very popular due to its Waterwise properties. Olivacea Red has dense, deep green foliage and display a profusion of spider like red flowers produce for an extended period from winter through to late spring. This Native has an upright growing habit with dense packed foliage. This particular Grevillea is ideal as a hedge, perfect for native gardens, popular in landscapers for mass planting and ideal as a screening, it is also perfect for attracting birds to your garden. Grevillea prefers full sun, they are hardy and drought tolerant, and it will grow in a large range of soil types, including coastal areas. They are low maintenance.
Fertiliser Feeding with a low phosphorus controlled release fertiliser in early spring or late Summer is beneficial. Mulch to suppress weeds and retain moisture.
