DESCRIPTIONS:

Heucherella Solar Eclipse is a striking low growing small shrub produces vigorous clumps of scalloped red-brown leaves with small, bell-shaped white flowers which are produced in late spring to early summer.  Great contrast plant for the garden with its striking colour and texture.  Plant in full sun to partly shaded position with well drained  moist soil.  Ideal for mass planting, borders, rockeries, pots and containers.  Heucherella Solar Eclipse will grow to a height of 25cm and a width of 40cm wide.

Soil type best for Heucherella:

*  Grows best in well-drained, moderately fertile to humus rich soil that is not boggy, especially during winter.

*  Can tolerate more sun in cooler climates 

*  Darker leaf varieties can tolerate more sun and benefits from good light.

Watering:

*  Water regularly until the plant is fully established.  It can take around 12 weeks to establish. 

*  Water more frequently in full sun or warmer garden during summer. 

*  Water daily in pots or baskets during hot days. 

Fertilising:

*  Light sprinkle of fertiliser if the soil is poor.

*  Don't need fertiliser if the soil is good.

Pruning:

*  Remove spent flowers and foliage. 

*  Light pruning in early spring before new growth appears.
