LILLY PILLY Syzygium 'Backyard Bliss' 250mm / 1.5 tall

DESCRIPTIONS:

Syzygium australe "Backyard Bliss" also known as Lilly Pilly Backyard Bliss, is a popular, fast-growing, evergreen Australian Native shrub known for its dense, glossy green leaves and attractive bronze coloured new growth.  It is well suited for hedging, screening and topiary, particularly in urban gardens and around pools, due to its compact, narrow growth habit and psyllids resistant.  It produces small white flowers in spring and summer, followed by edible red berries. 

Foliage:  Glossy green leaves with coppery-bronze new growth, offering year-round appeal.

Growth Habit:  Dense, compact and relatively fast growing, reaching to a height of 3-5m high and a width of  1-2m wide. 

Flowers and fruit:  Produces small, white fluffy flowers during spring and summer followed by attractive red berries. 

Pest resistance:  Psyllid resistant, meaning the foliage remains healthy and attractive with minimal pests issues.

Versatility:  Ideal for hedging, screening, topiary and container planting. 

Sunlight:  Thrives in full sun to part shade 

Soil and watering:  Prefers well-drained soil and regular watering, especially during dry spells. 

Maintenance:  Requires minimal pruning to maintain its shape, but can be pruned to control size and shape.
