DESCRIPTIONS:

Michelia 'Lady of the Night' is an attractive, evergreen shrub and produces deep green, glossy leaves.  Throughout spring and summer Michelia 'Lady of the Night' blooms large, cream, fragrant flowers that are tinted with magenta.  It can be used for hedging and small screening in gardens.  They are also ideal potted in large containers or pots.  Michelia Lady of the Night is a relative of the Magnolia and prefer moist, well drained soil with a warm sunny position.  Once established, Lady of the Night will tolerate light frosts, and moderate dry periods.  It is relatively low maintenance.  Prune to shape after flowering to encourage healthy new growth.  An annual application of slow release fertiliser is encouraged,  especially during spring.  Water well until established and throughout extended dry periods.  Michelia 'Lady of the Night ' can grow to a height and width of 4 metres.
