DESCRIPTIONS:

Nandina Domestica Obsession  is an improved of the fine leaf form.  Nandina are ideal addition to any domestic gardens or landscape.   Obsession has a bright pure red fresh growth tips throughout the growing season.  It holds the red new growth during the cold season for several months. The white flowers are borne in early summer in conical clusters which are well above the contrasting colourful foliage.   It is ideal as a low hedge, borders and mass planting. Great in decorative containers.  Obsession are very versatile plant, full sun, part shade or even moderate shade is fine.  It will grow in a wide range of soil, free draining loams to heavier clay soil with good drainage.   It is very drought,  cold and humidity tolerant and requires little maintenance due to being drought hardy.  Mulching is always beneficial.   Trim Nandina's by cutting out the taller or unwanted stems from the base. Nandina's do not reshoot from the stem, so you must to cut from the base of the plant.
