DESCRIPTIONS:
Commonly known as the Norfolk Island Pine, this conifer is easily identified and popularly situated throughout coastal parks and beaches. This tree produces formal pyramid shaped with dense foliage. Araucaria heterophylla has become synonymous in Australia. Its extreme toleration to salt and wind gives Araucaria heterophylla the ability to adapt and thrive in the most demanding coastal position. It is also a popular indoor plant, mainly used as an indoor Christmas tree. This variety preferred full sun, with moist free draining soil. It requires minimal maintenance once established. When planting, consideration is needed to allow room for both upper crown growth as well as root expansion. Water Araucaria heterophylla well until it is suitably established.
