Olea 'Frantoio' add a tuscan, Mediterranean vibe to your garden by planting and olive tree such as 'Frantoio', it is a noted as one of the most highly acclaimed oil varieties in the world and is grown commercially in most olive growing areas.  This variety is a self pollinating with highly consistant productivity. The tree is early season fruit-set. The fruits ripens gradually and so allow for a longer harvest.  This variety produces small to medium sized fruits, with a slightly nutty flavour when pickled.  When matured the fruit are purple black.  It is a fast-growing and crop well. Olea Frantoio thrives in warm regions with cool winter.  Extended dry, hot conditions during summer months will encourage fruits development.  It is drought tolerant and easily adaptable to coastal conditions.  This variety is also very high in resistant to extreme cold weather during winter months.  Fruits is ready to harvest from March to September each year. Can grow to a height of 9 meters high and a width of 6 metres wide.
