Patersonia Occidentalis a tough, attractive, tufted forming Australian Native with beautiful blue to purple flowers which resemble Irises. Flowers appear in late spring and early summer. Perfectly suited for the backyard, courtyard or any style of landscaping. Plant them in a sunny position with a moist to wet soil. Tolerate light frost and some seasonal dryness once established. Mulch well to conserve soil moisture and supress weeds. Fertilise in spring with slow release fertiliser. Pruning rejuvenate old plants. Petersonia Occidentalis can reach to a height of 80cm high and a width of 30-60cm wide.
