DESCRIPTIONS:

Philodendron 'Imperial Golden' is a striking, low-maintenance and compact Philodendron variety known for its large, glossy leaves that emerge in a vibrant golden-yellow and mature to a rich vibrant green.  It is a self-heading type, meaning it grows upright and compact, making it suitable for indoor spaces.  It is a popular choice for adding a touch of the tropics to homes and offices, and it is relatively easy to carefor, making it suitable for beginners. 

Foliage:  The 'Imperial Gold' is characterised by its large, glossy leaves that are initially a bright golden-yellow and gradually transitioning to a vibrant green as they mature. 

Growth Habit:  It is a self-heading Philodendron, meaning it grows in a compact, upright format, unlike vining varieties.  It typically reaches to a height and width of 60-90cm.

Light:  It thrives in bright indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. 

Soil:  Well-drained soil is essential and it's important to avoid over watering as the plant is susceptible to root rot.

Watering:  Water only when the top inch of soil feels dry.

Origin:  It originates from the tropical regions of South America.
