DESCRIPTIONS:

Senecio 'Jacobsonii' commonly known as Trailing Jade or Weeping Jade, is a succulent plant with a trailing, cascading growth habit.  It features fleshy,  green, round leaves that can turn purple or magenta with more sun or cooler temperatures.  The plant is known for its easy care, drought tolerant and ability to be grown in hanging baskets or as a groundcover. 

Appearance:

Leaves:

*  The leaves  are thick, rounded and succulent, resembling polished Jade. They are typically green,  but can develop purple or magenta tones when exposed to more sun or cooler temperatures. 

Stems:

*  The stems are fleshy and trailing, with the leaves arranged along the stems.  They can grow up to 3 meters long, making it suitable for hanging baskets or ground cover. 

Flowers:

*  Senecio Jacobsonii produces small,  inconspicuous, bright orange flowers in late summer or early autumn. 

Growth Habit:

*  The plants natural growth habit is to trail, making it ideal for hanging baskets or cascading over edges.

Groundcover:

*  In warmer climates, it can also be used as a groundcover,  spreading along the ground and forming a dense mat. 

Low maintenance:

*  It is relatively low maintenance plant, preferring well-draining soil and bright,  indirect sunlight. 

Care Tips:

Light:

*  Bright indirect light is ideal, but it can tolerate some shade. 

Watering:

*  Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between watering, as it drought-tolerant. 

Propagation:

*  It can be easily propagated from cuttings by drying for 24 hours before planting.
