A Stenocarpus situates commonly known as "Firewheel Tree" is a medium to large evergreen Australian rainforest tree with distinctive, bright red, circular flowers arranged in umbels that resemble a wheel, giving its name; it has large, wavy edged leaves and can grow up to 30 meters tall in its native habitat, but is usually smaller in cultivation; the bark is grey and the leaves can be simple or lobed, particularly on younger trees; flowering typically occurs in summer.
