COMMON NAME:  TIGER GRASS  / BROOM GRASS

Tiger grass is an attractive feature plant which looks like a bamboo but is in fact a fast growing , non-invasive perrenial grass. Tight clumps of slim stems and lush leaves reach 2.5m high, and are ideal for blocking fences while adding a tropical feel to the garden. It is also excellent as a specimen plant in garden beds or pots. Tiger grass prefers full to partly shaded area of moist rich soil and protected from frosts. Cut back old stems as required. Grows to 2.5m high by 1m wide.
