DESCRIPTIONS:

Westringia Grey Box  is a small, evergreen shrub with silvery grey leaves and  white flowers that is native to Australia. A perfect native compliment for Aussie Box.  Westringia Grey Box is a great colour contrast against green plants with its grey foliage and masses of white flowering from September through to May.  Grey Box is an extremely compact form in its naturally ball shape, and great for coastal or inland.  Great drought tolerant replacement for English Box,  especially in the heat of WA.  IT is proven to be very drought and frost tolerant, and is also found to work well in sandy and heavy clay soil. Plant from March to November.

This shrub has fine, narrow,  grey leaves that grows  densely on short stems.  During spring and summer,  it produces small,  white flowers.

When unpruned,  it can grow to a height and width  of 30 - 45 cm high and wide. 

*  Growing Conditions:

Westringia Grey Box can tolerate a wide range of soil types.  This plant prefers full sun to partly shaded position. Also tolerate coastal and frost environments.  It's also drought tolerant once established. 

*  Uses:

This variety is perfect for hedging or screening,  mass planting,  or as a container plant.  It's a good choice for contrasting with green plants. More regular pruning will result in a tidier, denser hedge. 

*  How to care:

Water moderately during the establishment phase and mulch around the base to retain soil moisture.  Regular pruning helps maintain a neat shape and encourage bushier growth.
